Maldives captain Ilan Imran and India’s Omang Dodum have been named joint top scorers at the 2026 SAFF U 20 Championship.

Both players scored three goals each during the tournament.

Ilan scored two goals against Sri Lanka in the group stage and added one more against Nepal in the final group match.

This marks the first time a Maldivian player has won an individual award in a SAFF tournament for a specific age group.

Dodum scored twice against Pakistan in the group stage, including one penalty, and added another goal against Bhutan in the semi finals.

He also received the Most Valuable Player award and was named Player of the Match in the final.

India reached the final but lost to Bangladesh 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.

Bangladesh’s Mohamed Ismail Hossain Mahin was named Best Goalkeeper.

Maldives received the Fair Play Award for the tournament.
