Students at Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre (Dh. A.E.C) in Kudahuvadhoo now have a new multi media studio where they can learn and create digital content.
The studio was opened by the United Islamic Society (UIS), a local organisation based in Kudahuvadhoo. The project was funded through the Bank Fund 2025 programme.
Did You Know?
The Bank Fund supports community projects across the Maldives. Each year, five projects receive 200,000 Rufiyaa to improve education, communities, and opportunities for young people.
What is in the studio?
The new studio has many tools that students can use to learn media skills, including:
- Professional cameras
- Lighting equipment
- Audio recording tools
- Editing computers
- Live streaming equipment
More than 800 students study at the school.
Learning new skills
The school already has an active Media Club, but students previously had limited equipment.
With the new studio, students can now:
- Create videos
- Broadcast school events
- Produce reports and programmes
- Make educational content for the school’s YouTube channel
Helping the community
The studio may also support nearby islands and local organisations. It will encourage students and community members to share ideas and learn together.
Teachers and members of UIS will help manage the studio and provide training so that students can continue learning media skills.
