
Bank of Maldives has funded a new sensory classroom named “IWonder” at Aminiya School as part of its ongoing community support initiatives.
More than 170 students are currently enrolled in Special Educational Needs (SEN) classes at the school.
Supporting inclusive learning
According to BML, the classroom was designed to create a more supportive and engaging learning environment for students.
The project included providing equipment, maintenance support, and improvements to the classroom space. Specialised features and resources have been added to support students’ developmental needs.

Ongoing support for SEN education
BML has previously supported the development of SEN classrooms in several schools, including Imaduddin School, Hiriya School, Salahuddin School, Veymandoo School, and Gaafaru School.
Over the past few years, the bank has also provided equipment to SEN classes in 40 schools across Maldives.
BML stated that supporting students with special needs remains a priority, with continued investment in resources aimed at strengthening inclusive education.
