How the day is celebrated

A special service is held at Westminster Abbey in London. Members of the British royal family attend the event along with leaders and representatives from different Commonwealth countries.
Schools, communities, and organizations also celebrate the day with activities, discussions, and cultural events.
In some Commonwealth countries, the day is even recognized as a public holiday.
